RegEx Energy Exchange Post-Trade

Energy exchange operations that connect trading, clearing and the power grid in one flow.

Market InfrastructureEnergy exchangesExchange technology operators

Overview

RegEx registers and maintains members’ assets on an energy exchange’s forward market. It defines the basic information of the market, including producers, consumers and permitted brokers, and lists commodities, producers’ assets and the licences required for sale in the exchange’s trade engine.

It exchanges data with the exchange trade engine through a text-standard protocol, with OCC clearing and settlement, and with the national grid operator, covering delivery asset files, finalized transactions, fund status and fund transaction history. It supports retailers, large consumers and the physical electricity market.

The problem it addresses

An energy exchange must keep financial records and physical delivery in step. Producers, consumers, brokers, the clearing system and the grid operator all need the same, correct picture of assets and transactions.
